James Baldwin and Vova Gladkov put on tough fights in their matches at the Pacific Rim Organized (PRO) MMA Fight held at Luxy in Taipei on October 4, 2009. James fought Eman Chang from Toronto BJJ in the 72 kg weight category while Vova fought Yoann Gouaida from Legacy Gym, Thailand in the 84 kg category.

James showed superior striking technique forcing his opponent to resort to attacks on the ground. James was winning overall but unexpectedly was tapped by kimura from half-guard on the bottom in the third round. Thanks goes to Gareth Griffiths for giving permission us to use these photos he took. Vova faced a tough opponent from Thailand, Yoann Gouaida of Legacy Gym. Despite taking many knees to the face, Vova was able to knock Gouaida to the ground with some brutal punches in the second round but got caught in an armbar that ended the fight.
